Serrapeptase is a is a proteolytic enzyme, meaning it breaks down proteins into smaller components called amino acids. It’s produced by bacteria in the digestive tract of silkworms and allows the emerging moth to digest and dissolve its cocoon; and it helps the whole body breakdown protein, acting like a scavenger.
Preliminary evidence suggests is active systemically and may support a healthy inflammation response. Preliminary evidence also suggests that when taken orally, this enzyme may reduce the viscosity of mucus in the respiratory tract. Serrapeptase is provided as a delayed release vegetarian capsule, designed to provide the most benefit.
Dosage
1 to 2 capsules twice daily as needed on an empty stomach with at least 240ml of water.
