Nattokinase ("Natto") is an enzyme (protein) found in natto and fermented soybeans. Natto is a traditional dish in Japan. The specific fermentation process involves using the bacterium Bacillus subtilis natto.
Nattokinase has been shown to support a healthy circulatory system by helping to maintain normal fibrinogen levels in blood:
- Nattokinase may benefit people with high blood pressure This effect seems to be more pronounced in males.
-Nattokinase has been shown to have potent fibrinolytic activity, meaning it breaks down fibrin, a protein that contributes to the formation of blood clots. It cannot be taken when already on blood thinner medication
- Nattokinase may also help improve circulation by promoting the production of nitric oxide, which helps dilate blood vessels, allowing for increased blood flow
Dosage : 1 capsule a day between meals ( each capsule contains 100mg of nattokinase)
